Online Beading Workshop

Join me for a fun afternoon of exploring abstract beading from the comfort of your own home. Spend a couple of hours away from 'everyday life' and create some time for yourself with other likeminded crafters.

Are you fascinated by 3D beading and always wanted to give it a try? Or felt as though you needed a bit more guidance? or are you simply just looking for a creative environment to help inspire you to start crafting? Then this class is for you! In this class I take you back to the beginning and teach you the basics of working with beads. We will explore a variety of techniques and the different ways we can use beads to enhance a piece of fabric. With this course you will develop an understanding of embellishment and detailing. We will also focus on colour blending, layering with beads and creating height and volume with beads and lastly finishing. We will also be applying what we have learnt through customising a piece of clothing . You will be able to ask questions that you might have about beading in the Q&A session!

You can come as an observer or if you would like to craft along during the class, please see below some optional supplies that you can use during the online class.

- a selection of beads and sequins
- beading thread
- beading needle
- base fabric (calico or cotton fabric)
- pencil
- embroidery hoop
- an item of clothing you would like to customise

You will also need access to steady wifi, a laptop or a smart phone or iPad with a camera and microphone. So we can all communicate when needed.

Once you have secured your space for the workshop you will receive an email as a confirmation. Your Zoom meeting invite will be emailed to you 3 days ahead of your workshop with all the details to login for the zoom class. So please make sure your email is correct at checkout.

Please arrive online 10 minutes early so that we can start the class as soon as possible.
